Assisted and Practicum Teaching

Week 2-3: This week, we submitted our first lesson plan. Teacher Jho Mar A. Factor gave me an example of A Detailed Lesson Plan that helped me learn and make a better lesson plan. My subject matter in English Communication Arts – Language K is all about myself.              A few days I watched Teacher Jho Mar teaching. He has a really good pedagogic skills. I observed how he teach, how he communicates with pupils, how he manages his time. I also observed the class condition. The class made me realize that there are so much media to help pupils easy to learn new things.  I was chosen to be the first demo teacher so that I would not have to lengthen my agony and nervousness. I would like to be the first to set the standards so that expectations will not be very high. I had a little bit of pressure on my part as the first demo teacher.  W e had our impromptu teaching this week before we did the final demo teaching. This will enhance our self-confidence and know more about our pup

August 20, 2018.  That day was the celebration of 1st international students day which was held by the MMSU. It is one of the MMSU president's dreams to carry out such activities. We have the opportunity to wear traditional clothing from our area. We have the opportunity to showcase our culture. The five of us sang one of the compulsory Indonesian songs entitled "Tanah Airku" and I also had the opportunity to perform traditional dances from South Sulawesi, namely "fan dance". The event was attended by students from Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines and us from Indonesia. We play together, dance together and sing together.

Observation Class

I was placed to practice teaching in kindergarten. My coordinator was Mam Estrella B. Luis. She directed me to went to the pre-school class to met my Teacher Training Instructor. Who would have thought that my teacher training instructor was a man. He was Mr. Jho Mar A. Factor. Omg ... a man teaching in kindergarten was something that unexpected for me. As we know that there is very rarely a male teacher in a kindergarten. After met him, he immediately invited me to class to start observed what kind of room was used to teach in their school. And this is the picture of the class I took. You might ask, why there is a kitchen in school? Yes. This school does not advise students to bring supplies. Their food will be prepared in school so there is no difference in food between students and their food is so cared for, because when meal time arrives, students will be asked what food names they eat so that their knowledge of food will increase.
