DAY 2
On August 13th, 2018. This is officially our first day in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. This morning we attended the first ceremony of the school with freshmen and doing some exercise. In our schedule, We courtesy call to the office of the President and campus tour.
After attending the ceremony, we’re going to Batac to meet the President. It took about 30 minutes from Laoag to Batac. This is the pictures when we’re in Mariano Marcos State University, Batac.
Also, we took some photos of I and my friends.
After taking some photos, we would like to get our lunch in Batac. We tried some foods from Batac City like Miki Special with egg. This Filipino noodle soup is made with Miki noodles, chicken stock, and annatto powder. The Ilocos-style Miki noodle soup is usually served with boiled egg and is topped with ground bagnet (which they refer to as "chicharron").
We also tried Filipino dessert from Batac City. Maja Blanca is a Filipino dessert made from coconut milk, cornstarch, and sugar. Often called Coconut Pudding, this luscious dessert is easy to make and the ingredients are very common.
After all, they make me feel like I'm home again. We also visited the Paoay Church. This is One of the places you must visit if you are on a tour of Ilocos Norte’s famous destinations should be the Paoay Church. This church, also known as San Agustin Church, is considered to be one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in the Philippines.
